A nice walk in Val Sanagra

  26 August 2015

Those who love the pristine valley and little populated certainly cannot afford to miss a nice walk in Val Sanagra.
Val Sanagra became Local Park in 2005, here the types of rock formations are attributed to Carboniferous era and they are among the oldest in Italy.
The beautiful valley carved by the river Sanagra, is entirely covered by forests which alternate with mountain pastures and clearings.
The park is home to most mammals and birds that inhabit the mountainous foothills: the deer, the chamois, the roe deer and the eagle at high altitude.
On the paths you will meet pastures and Crotti.
In the lower valley you can admire villages, villas, towers, windmills, chapels, remains of industrial archeology …
