Unique island in Lake Como, Isola Comacina was the protagonist of Como history in the Roman and early medieval age, resulting in a fortified town, a political hub, as well as one of the most important religious centers of the diocese. Appreciated for its characteristic lush natural environment and for the wonderful views, the island hosts three rationalist style houses for artists and different archaeological sites.
You can also visit the Antiquarium Museum of Ossuccio that preserves some of the most significant archaeological finds on the island.
