Christmas is the most wonderful time of the year even here on Lake Como, in our villages that sometimes seem to come straight out of a painting.
Lights, glitter, Christmas markets, nativity figurines and all the scents that make you feel like a child again.
It is the time for traditions, mulled wine, panettone and old recipes. The roast cooked in the copper pot on the cheap stove that you can still taste.
The visit to the cribs in the villages of Tremezzina, the tour of the toy town and the rush for presents...but sometimes a small gift is much more than just a gift because it is made from the heart.
