Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Residence Celeste processes the personal data of website users, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

Data controller

The data controller is Residence Celeste, Via Giulia Brentano 3/5, 22016 Mezzegra – Tremezzina (CO), Italy, e-mail: info@residence-celeste.com.

Data we collect

Data you provide voluntarily by filling in the site's forms: first name, surname, e-mail address, phone number with international dialling code (optional), arrival and departure dates of your stay (optional) and the text of your message.

If you subscribe to offer alerts, your name, e-mail address and phone number are required: details are in the section “Offer alerts by e-mail, SMS and WhatsApp”.

We also collect browsing data through cookies and similar technologies, as described in the Cookie Policy, and your IP address, processed by the forms' anti-spam system and temporarily recorded in our hosting provider's logs for security and diagnostic purposes.

Purposes and legal basis

We process data to respond to your requests and manage the guest relationship (handling the data subject’s request and pre-contractual measures), to send you our offers if you subscribe to offer alerts (consent), for statistical analysis and website improvement (consent), and to comply with legal obligations.

Tools and recipients

Messages sent through the forms are delivered via Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France), acting as data processor for the sending of e-mails and, for those who subscribe to offer alerts, for storing the subscriber list. Anti-spam protection of the forms is provided by Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc.), which receives your IP address to verify that the submission does not come from an automated system. The site is hosted on Vercel Inc.

The Turnstile check runs in the background without asking you to do anything. The data it processes is covered by Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum, available at https://www.cloudflare.com/turnstile-privacy-policy/

With your consent we use Google Analytics 4 through Google Tag Manager (Google Ireland Limited). Maps are powered by OpenStreetMap and reviews are displayed through the Trustindex widget. For providers based outside the European Union, transfers take place on the basis of the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission and, where applicable, participation in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. We do not disclose your data and do not use it for profiling.

Offer alerts by e-mail, SMS and WhatsApp

On the Offers page you can ask to receive an alert when we publish a new offer. To subscribe we need your name, e-mail address and phone number with international dialling code, all of which are required. We also record the language of the page you subscribe from, so that we can write to you in that language, and the fact that the subscription came from the Offers page.

We use this data only to send you our offers by e-mail, SMS or WhatsApp. The legal basis is the consent you give by ticking the box when you subscribe (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Art. 130 of the Italian Data Protection Code, Legislative Decree 196/2003). Subscribing is optional: without it you can still contact us and book.

The subscriber list is stored on Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France), which acts as data processor and handles the sending of messages. For WhatsApp messages your number is also processed by WhatsApp Ireland Limited, which provides the messaging service. E-mails sent through Brevo may record whether the message is opened and whether links are clicked: we use this information only to understand whether our mailings work, not to profile you.

You can withdraw your consent at any time, free of charge, using the unsubscribe link in every e-mail or by writing to info@residence-celeste.com or on WhatsApp at +39 0344 1930036; withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of messages sent before it. We keep your data for as long as your subscription is active. When you unsubscribe we stop writing to you and may keep your e-mail address and phone number on a suppression list, solely to make sure we do not contact you again.

Data retention

We keep data only for as long as necessary for the stated purposes and legal obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised. For offer alerts, the retention periods are set out in the dedicated section.

Your rights

At any time you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or objection to processing and data portability, and withdraw any consent you have given, by writing to info@residence-celeste.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority.
